Last Tuesday, the Lady Tigers welcomed Skyline to town for the first of two conference matchups for the week. The Lady Tigers have continued to play hard, despite limited success on the court. Skyline entered the match with a 9-6-1 record and the Lady Tigers were hopeful they could upset their conference foes. more
Last week, the Stockton Lady Tigers competed in two meets at Strafford and Nevada. The big news for the week occurred on Wednesday when the Lady Tigers set a new team record of 410 at the Nevada Lady Tiger Invitational Golf Meet, besting the previous record of 412 set by the Lady Tigers in September 2020. The 410 was good enough for a tie for third place. more
Last Friday, the Tigers traveled to Springfield to take on the Springfield Central Bulldogs. Despite being a Class 5 school, the Bulldogs have struggled on the gridiron in recent years. As Central celebrated their 100th homecoming, the Tigers hoped to keep their win streak alive. Stockton started slow with penalties hampering the offense, but the defense played well throughout the night, holding the Bulldogs to a single score. After halftime, the Tigers found their momentum and pulled away to a lopsided victory, 34-7. more
Last Friday, the Tigers mauled the visiting Bears of Sarcoxie, extending their win streak to three games and bringing their season record to 3-1. Currently, the Tigers are a three seed in Class 2, District 5, behind #1 Lamar and #2 Warsaw. more
It was a busy week for the Lady Tigers as they traveled to El Dorado Springs on Monday, hosted Buffalo on Tuesday, traveled to Diamond on Thursday, and then spent most of Saturday competing in the Buffalo Lady Bison Invitational at Buffalo High School. Adversity continued to be the theme as the Lady Tigers fell to El Dorado Springs, Buffalo, and Diamond 3-0. At the Buffalo Tournament, the Lady Tigers fell to Buffalo and Eldon 2-0, picked up a win against Cassville (2-0), and then tied Hallsville 1-1. The Lady Tigers finished third in pool play, but only the Top 2 finishers in each pool advanced to bracket play. more
Last Saturday, the Tigers and Lady Tigers traveled to Joplin to compete in the 2024 Missouri Southern High School Stampede Across Country Meet. Ninety-two teams, including schools from Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma were in attendance. Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers were strong competitors, with each group placing several runners in the Top 100. Well over 300 competitors participated in the girls and boys competitions. more
On Monday, the Lady Tigers golf team took a trip down Highway 32 to participate in the Bolivar Invitational Golf Tournament. 26 teams participated, giving the Lady Tigers ample competition. Due to illness, only four golfers were able to make the trip so the team competed only on the individual level. It was a tough day for the ladies as none of the Lady Tigers were able to place in the Top Ten. Carli Burchett paced the Lady Tigers over 18 holes, scoring a 101. She was followed by Kendra Bishop with a 111 and Vanessa Nail with a 117. more
Last Thursday, the Tigers and Lady Tigers competed in the Carthage Cross Country meet at the Carthage Golf Course. The Lady Tigers finished in 7th place and the Tigers finished 16th. Both teams competed against large high schools, including schools from Springfield and Northwest Arkansas. more
Last Thursday, the Lady Tigers volleyball team nabbed their first victory of the young season, defeating Greenfield in 5 sets. The Lady Tigers had struggled out of the gate and the victory was welcome after a difficult start to the season. more
Last Friday, the Stockton Tigers hit the road to take on their conference foe Ash Grove Pirates who entered the game with a 2-0 record and a #9 Class 1 ranking. At the end of the evening, the Tigers had thrashed the hosts, winning 18-0 in a game that didn’t seem that close. more
After rain impacted last weeks’ Class 3, District 12 tournament scheduled at Sarcoxie, the Stockton Tigers instead traveled to Neosho to take on the Southwest (Washburn) Trojans last Monday. Neosho High School hosted the district tournament as their field was synthetic turf, allowing the games to move forward despite the persistent heavy rains over recent days. Southwest (Washburn) had defeated Diamond on Saturday in a play-in game and faced the #1 seed Tigers in semifinal action. more
Last Friday and Saturday, the Class 1, 2, and 3 state track meet, hosted by Jefferson City High School, filled two warm and sunny days as schools from all over the state converged on the state capital. Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers were represented, hoping to be competitive with some of the best athletes in the state. more
Last week, the Stockton Tigers closed out the regular season, including a victory over Peasant Hope, which gave the Tigers the Southwest Conference crown after the Tigers went undefeated in conference play. The Tigers finished the regular season with a 20-9 record, including a four game winning streak, as they enter district play. more

Last Wednesday, the Stockton Tiger golf team hosted their final home golf meet as Adrian and Butler came to the Stockton Country Club. Led by Head Coach Andrew Boone and Assistant Coach Doug Haines, the Tigers continued to play excellent golf, taking first place in the match. Team scores were: Stockton, 178, Butler, 191, and Adrian 214. The Tigers were led by Owen Garver who shot a 43 as teammates Canaan Rutledge, Parker Phelan, and Layton Colvin all scored a 45. Gilberto Alexander shot a 48 on the 9 hole course. more

Last Thursday, the Tigers and Lady Tigers track teams traveled to Buffalo to compete against 18 other schools in the Buffalo Invitational. At the end of the day, the Tigers took sixth place while the Lady Tigers finished 7th. more

Coach Brett Burchett and his Lady Tigers’ season came to a close last Friday as the Lady Tigers fell to top seed El Dorado Springs in the Class 3, District 13 championship at Adrian after the Lady Tigers previously defeated the host Adrian Blackhawks in the semifinal matchup. more

Last week, the flu bug struck the Stockton Tigers who found multiple starters out for two games. Even though their replacements and the bench played well, the loss of those unable to play was too much to overcome against two solid opponents. more
Last Tuesday, the Lady Tigers traveled to Miller to take on the Lady Cardinals in Southwest Conference action. The hosts entered the game with a 16-7 record, riding a three game winning streak into the matchup. more
