Missouri investigators have released the identity of the skeletal remains that were found in an undeveloped area of El Dorado Springs in late September this year. The investigation identified the remains as that of Timothy N. Taber, 56, of El Dorado Springs.
Taber was reported missing on May 24, 2021. According to the El Dorado Springs Police Department, there appears to be no evidence of foul play.
Officers originally responded to the 1300 block of South First Street — near Dollar General — concerning the skeletal remains on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Upon arrival, officers "located human skeletal remains in an undeveloped area of the city," the release said.
The Cedar County Sheriff's Office and investigators from the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted in the investigation.
