The Stockton Police Department arrested Kristoffer Leonard on Sept. 1 following an investigation into multiple alleged offenses involving a minor.
According to the department, the investigation involved allegations of enticement of a minor, sexual misconduct, supplying alcohol to a minor and providing tobacco or nicotine vapor products to a minor.
Police submitted a probable cause statement to Cedar County Prosecuting Attorney Ty Gaither on Aug. 31 for review and consideration of formal charges.
An arrest warrant was issued Sept. 1 for Leonard on two counts of enticement of a minor. Stockton police officers located Leonard later that day and took him into custody on the warrant. He was transported to the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
The Stockton Police Department said it remains committed to protecting members of the community, particularly children, and will continue investigating allegations of crimes against children.
Leonard is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
