Last week, the Lady Tigers opened the new year with a road trip to Lamar. Even with districts over a month away, the outcome of the game had the potential to have an impact on district rankings. Although they reside in a different district, Adrian was a common opponent of both Lamar and Stockton. Lamar had defeated Adrian in December but Adrian had knocked off Stockton earlier in the season. With Adrian as a common opponent, the Lady Tigers needed the victory, hoping to leapfrog Lamar when district rankings are made in February. Adding to Stockton’s concern, starter Kila Burchett was injured and unable to play.
