Georgeanne Duchardt Beintema

Georgeanne Duchardt Beintema died peacefully Tuesday, June 1, at Lake Stockton Health Facility in Stockton after a long progressive diagnosis of severe spinal stenosis. She was 82. 

She was the first of three children of George and Leona Duchardt and was born in Chicago, Illinois. 

Georgeanne and her husband lived many years in Stockton, California, where she had her own successful beauty shop, serving coffee and fresh donuts each morning. She was a fantastic cook and fed her family wonderful concoctions and desserts. She was extremely generous and always would remember birthdays and holidays.

Georgeanne and Dick lived quite a few years in Pioneer, California, and then moved to Stockton Missouri where she enjoyed gardening, cooking, their dogs and the outdoor life.  She was president of her garden club and active in her church in Missouri.  She loved to drive across country to visit family in California, Indiana and Illinois.

She has 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is survived by her youngest sister Florence Duchardt (Martin) of Placerville California, daughter Melody Barrett (Kurt) of Valley Springs California and three step children Randy Beintema (Stacy) of Stockton, Cindy Metzger (Kim) of Lodi and Annie Beintema of Murphys California. 

She is preceded in death her younger sister Esther Nancy Lawson, and her loving husband of 50 years, Dick. 

She will be sadly missed by all her family. Her memorial service will be a family affair in Dixon, California, at the Veterans Cemetery where her husband is buried. In memory of Georgeanne, enjoy your day, your family and be thankful for all of your blessings.
