Josh Floyd, El Dorado Springs R-II Board of Education candidate, has lived in El Dorado Springs his entire life. He is employed at Santa Paula Awning Co. Floyd and his wife have two children in El Dorado Springs Elementary School.
Floyd believes his experiences as a board member at other organizations could benefit the school board, as well as his experience in management.
In regard to building improvements, Floyd said there are many which need to be made.
“This is a good start to provide enough space, to ensure our kids can have a quality education,” he said.
Floyd said the building issue is a large concern, but there will be more things in the future.
“We always need to have a plan moving forward, beyond immediate needs,” he said.
Floyd said he wants to help his community by serving on the board.
“I have been involved with in the community my entire life and I feel I can contribute in a positive way to the school district,” he said.
Floyd said he believes the administration is doing a great job managing the resources they have.
