Patrica Kay Pyle, 78, passed away on Friday, July 9,, at her home in Stockton, after a short illness. She was the only child born to Everett Wallace Swadley and Eunice Irene (Oldham) Swadley.

Her early life was spent in Caplinger Mills with her grandmother and grandfather –– Dora and Ora Oldham. She was surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She went to school in Stockton and never left the area.

She married Ronnie Gene Pyle on June 10, 1962. To that union, one child Katherine Michelle was born. The couple raised their family west of Stockton on the farm, raising cattle and pigs. They also farmed many acres over the years on the family farm down Hwy. J and other land on the river. 

Kay worked at the post office as a clerk in later in life cleaned houses. She was a member of the Stockton Christian Church and received Christ as her Savior at a young age, being baptized in the Sac River. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed going to meetings when her health allowed. 

She never really recovered after losing her beloved Ronnie after 56 years of marriage.

She took great pride in her grandchildren, Shainne Amanda Robin and Chance Weston Koger. Also, her great-grandsons Decker Wayne, Asher Gene and Baylor James Robin. She would always ask to see videos and pictures of them when her health prevented her from seeing them in person.

Kay is survived by her daughter Michelle and husband Carl Swager of El Dorado Springs, Mo; her Grandchildren Shainne and Brian Robin of Neosho; Chance Koger of Joplin, Mo; three great-grandsons Decker Wayne, Asher Gene, and Baylor James Robin. Her sister-in-laws Peggy and husband Joe Stanley, Nacy and husband Joe Lee Levi, Dixie Dawes, many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Wallace Swadley, Eunice Lily and her step-father Joe Ben Lilly.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 15, in Stockton Christian Church with burial in Lindley Prairie Cemetery.
