Joyce Mabe

Joyce Mabe, 81, Jerico Springs, passed away on March 30, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer while at home, comfortably with her family.

Joyce was born on April 26, 1938, to Ferrell and Beulah Callen, in Kansas City.  

In 1956, Joyce wed Richard Mabe after returning from serving his country in the Korean War while stationed in Japan. 

They went on to have two children, Scott and Kim.

After retiring in 2001 from O’Sullivan Industries, Joyce spent her time gardening, sewing, cooking and mowing her yard. Joyce expressed her love by feeding others, and “Grandma’s Kitchen” was open for all who stopped by.  

She is preceeded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and her brother.  

Survivors include sister Beulah “Fairy” Ferguson; children Scott Mabe and Kim Jeffries; and her four grandchildren, Bret and Alicia Mabe, and Clay and Sarah Jeffries.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton.

A graveside service will immediately follow at Caplinger Mills Cemetery.
