Seven ECS Buffalos named MOKAN track all-conference

The MOKAN All Conference Track awards were announced for the 2018-19 season. Seven athletes from El Dorado Christian School varsity teams were awarded. From left are Lucia Rogers, Isabelle Bryson, Christian Steuck, Jordanne Steuck, Rylee Bowman, Brenton LeeMasters and Olivia Bryson.

The El Dorado Christian School track team finished its 2019 season at the National Homeschool Track and Field Finals, Wednesday-Thursday, May 8-9, at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar. Among the highlights was seventh grader Christian Steuck placing second the girls 12 and younger triathlon (shot put, 200 meters, long jump) with 960 points.

Top 10 finishers for ECS follow.

Girls 12 and younger: Sophia Bryson; third in 80 M hurdles, eight in triple jump, 10th in 100 M, 200 M, and 300 M hurdles. Christian Steuck; second in the triathlon, first in shot put, second in long jump, second in 400 M, second in 80 M hurdles, eighth in 300 M hurdles.

Girls 14 and younger: Olivia Bryson; second in 800 M, third in 1600 M, fourth in 2400 M, fifth in triple jump, sixth in high jump. Lucia Rogers; fourth in triple jump.

Girls 16 and younger: Isabelle Bryson; second in pole vault, seventh in long jump, seventh in javelin. Jordanne Steuck; third in 800 M, third in javelin, third in triple jump, fourth in 400 M, seventh in high jump.

Boys 12 and younger: Camren Reasoner; eighth in discus.

Boys 14 and younger: Brenton LeeMasters; fifth in 1600 M, sixth in 2400 M, ninth in discus, ninth in javelin.
