Mr. Hayes, 62, El Dorado Springs, died Thursday, Oct. 4, surrounded by his family. He was born to Dan and Marge Hayes in Nevada.
He married Susan Walton Aug. 13, 1982, and transferred to El Dorado Springs for Dunbrooke Sportswear. They lived there with Susan’s two young sons, Jeremy and David.
He started work as a custodian for Dunbrooke at age 16, and continued his career with them for the next 30 years, closing his career with Dunbrooke as head mechanic.
He volunteered for the El Dorado Springs Fire Department in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Susan of the home; two sons, Jeremy and wife Renea and David, both of El Dorado Springs; three sisters, Sue Biddlecome of El Dorado Springs, Lisa Harper and husband Dennis of Springfield and Patti Hayes of Springfield; and three grandsons, Branden, Derek and Gavin, of El Dorado Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Marge; and a brother, Danny Joe.
The Rev. Joe Trussell officiated under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
