Sep. 17, 1927-Feb. 16, 2020

J. Bob Oldham was born to Carl and Bertha (White) Oldham on Sept. 17,

1927, and he was called to his Heavenly Father on Feb. 16, 2020. Bob was 92 years old and the youngest of three children.

Bob married his sweetheart, Betty Lou Crutcher, on May 3, 1946. They shared 73 years of wedded bliss and to this union two children were born, Gary Lynn and Nancy Diane. He was a devoted husband, Dad and Papaw. He taught his children many skills on the farm but also found time to fish, camp and go swimming.

As a team, the Oldhams worked together on farms in Cedar and Dade Counties.  They enjoyed raising cattle and farming until they retired and moved into Greenfield, then later to Stockton, to be closer to their daughter.

Along with haying for his cattle, Bob operated a business hauling fertilizer and lime to his neighboring farmers.

Bob and Betty dearly loved their Lord and attended the Mt. Olive Christian Church at Neola. In their young marriage, they were baptized together at Greenfield Christian Church.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Nancy Divine and Ron; grandchildren J. Brock Divine and Amanda; Brandy Divine Yarnell and Bruce; Christina Oldham Jones and Dustin; Robert Oldham; and niece Sue Ann Clevenger. Great-grandchildren include Cole Johnson, Maddox McNamara, Cate and Avery Divine.

He is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Betty; his son Gary; his parents; and siblings Virginia Clevenger and Leon Oldham.

Dad will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and their families. Bob was lovingly cared for and will be missed by his Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility family. There are too many to name and the family thanks each and every one of you. Citizens Memorial Hospital doctors and Hospice nurses also were exceptional.

Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, Stockton Christian Church, with services following at 10 a.m.

Burial following services in Greenfield Cemetery.
