Veterans read

As part of its Every Hero Has a Story program, two local veterans were invited to read to local children at the Geneva Sharp Library, Stockton Branch, library director Glenda Pate said.

Retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant Leonard Hopkins and retired U.S. Army Provisional Reserve brigadier general Jim Behan read the book “Nubs, The True Story of a Mutt, a Marine and a Miracle,” to a small gathering of children Monday, July 21.

The book is the true story about Nubs, an Iraqi dog of war who never had a home or a person of his own, authored by major Brian Dennis, United States Marine Corps.
