Four athletes from El Dorado Springs representing Team Heartland and Next Level Sport Karate competed Saturday, March 30, in Russellville, Arkansas.

Taylin Oberly competed in the 12-13 advanced division, finishing first in girls point sparring, traditional forms and traditional weapons. She was third in team sparring. Taylin also won in the 12-14 girls open weight sparring, where she won a pair of custom sparring gloves.

Trista Oberly competed in the 8-9 beginner division, taking first place in point sparring and third in flag sparring. This was Trista's first tournament in a few years.

Jenna Runkle competed in the 10-11 intermediate division, finishing the day in fourth place for traditional weapons and second in sparring.

Jordan Runkle competed in the 8-9 advanced division and the 11-and-younger boys open weight sparring division. Jordan was the only competitor less than age 10. Jordan finished third in the division out of eight kids, with a fourth in traditional forms, second in traditional weapons and second in point sparring.
