The presentation of the “Student of the Month” award goes to one girl and one boy of Stockton high school. This award will be given each month during the 2023-2024 school year, and it is to recognize the Stockton high school students who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements in extra-curricular activities, academics, leadership, good citizenship, service to their school, and service to the community. more
With inclement weather closing school last Tuesday, the Lady Tigers had to postpone their contest with Marionville by a day, taking on the state ranked Lady Comets on a Wednesday evening at Stockton High School. Marionville entered the game as the 8th ranked Class 2 team in Missouri, adding incentive for a possible upset by the Lady Tigers. more

Most years, space heaters account for about one-third of home heating fires and 80 percent of heating fire deaths. Overloaded extension cords, power strips and generators also pose danger. more

With temperatures running below zero this week, it may be time to focus on the fact that after winter comes spring. Always. Forever. And Ben and Janae Graham's entire family is expecting this spring. They are expecting their first new calves of their registered herd of Black Angus. They are expecting their ducklings to hatch. They are expecting their herbs and produce to pop out of the ground. And Janae Graham will go foraging for all sorts of herbs to add to her handmade herbal remedies. Their businesses are thriving on their holistic, all-natural farm just outside of Fair Play. It is a dream come to fruition for the Graham family. The dream started in 2020, and according to Janae, it has "...turned into a fun reality." more
