A surprise guest from the North Pole is expected at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, as the El Dorado Springs Municipal Band plays its Christmas in July concert. We hope lots of children show up to visit with this jolly fellow and his elf again this year. Youngsters always have fun visiting with him when he drops by. The band will play a special concert to help everyone get into the Christmas spirit, and we’ll be in our red and green, too. Program: “The First Noel,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “A Holiday Galop,” “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer,” “Silent Night,” “Ave Maria,” “Christmas Fanfares,” “Polar Express,” “Bobsled Run,” “O Come, Little Children,” “Deck the Halls,” “Christmas Finale,” “Jingle Bells” and “God Bless America.”

Program for 8 p.m., Friday, July 27: “Aces of the Air, “Big Cage,” “Armed Forces Salute,” “Bugler’s Holiday,” “Superba,” “Slippery Gentlemen,” “Blue Danube,” “Zacatecas,” “Marches of Fame,” “Swingin’ Safari,” “Blue Book,” “Kansas City,” “You’re A Grand Old Flag” and “God Bless America.”

Program for 2 p.m.Sunday, July 29: “Christ the Lord is Risen Today,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Chicago Tribune,” “Forrest Gump,” “Blue Tango,” “Polka,” “Trombones,” “Dixie,” “Westlawn Dirge,” “Bombasto,” “On Wisconsin,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “God Bless America” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
