The El Dorado Springs Municipal Band is planning a special program this weekend for the picnic.

We will play songs written by John Phillip Sousa at 7 p.m. Friday, July 20. Program: “King Cotton,” “The Gladiator,” “U.S. Field Artillery March,” “Stars and Stripes Forever,” “El Capitan,” “The Thunderer,” “Black Horse Troop,” “Salute to Sousa,” “Pride of the Wolverines,” “Washington Post,” “Semper Fidelis,” “Liberty Bell,” “High School Cadets” and “God Bless America.”

We will play songs from favorite movies at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 21. Program: “Oklahoma,” “Pie in the Face Polka,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pink Panther,” “Disney at the Movies,” “76 Trombones,” “My Heart Will Go On,” “Let It Go,” “Yellow Rose of Texas,” “Big Band Polka,” “Ballad of Green Beret,” “101 – No. 32, No. 33, No. 34,” “It’s a Small World” and “God Bless America.”

The band also will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22. We’d love to play for you.

Thursday program: “The Band Played On,” “Washington Post,” “Pan American,” “Buglers Holiday,” “American Patrol,” “Clarinet Polka,” “Night In June,” “Bugler’s Dream,” “Beer Barrel Polka,” “Sky Pilot,” “Battle Cry of Freedom,” “Missouri Waltz,” “Java” and “God Bless America.”

Sunday program: Flute choice, clarinet choice, sax choice, tenor sax choice, trumpet choice, trombone choice, baritone choice, French horn choice, tuba choice, percussion choice, director choice, “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” “God Bless America,” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
