SACC and Orleans Trails to host “Country meets Rock” this Labor Day Weekend

Posted

Two great nights of free entertainment will be happening on the grounds of Orleans Trail Resort Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 3 and 4. The music festival is sponsored by Orleans Trail and the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Country music performers Lyal Strickland and Kamber Cain will be performing at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. Tungtied will be back by popular demand Sept. 4. Family-friendly food such as hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for purchase on the grounds, as well as drinks.

Chuck Martin, Orleans Trial owner/manager, said SACC has been very helpful in promoting the event. There will be signage in town directing people to the event.

“We are anticipating a crowd because we will be busy that weekend,” Martin said. “There will be a T-shirt stand, and one of the bands will have a tent with merchandise.

“People who like country music can come on Saturday night, and those who like rock can come on Sunday,” he said.

Martin also emphasized that later in the season, events will be scheduled to appeal to locals because the Orleans Trail plans to stay open in the winter.
