Dateline. Murder in the Heartland. True Crime. People are fascinated by true crime documentaries. Perhaps not always as exciting, but Cedar County has a quick, interesting reality ride if a citizen wants to ride with a cop. In fact, Chief of Police Brett Dawn of the El Dorado Springs Police Department encourages anyone over 18 to join him or one of his officers on a cruise through town. Already, a few people have taken advantage of the offer to see a small town through the eyes of a cop.
