Lorna W. Streid, 86, Fair Play, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in Dade County Nursing Home, Greenfield. She was born April 4, 1919, in Addison, Ill., the daughter of Gustav and Anna Rosenwinkel Moeller.
She married Harold Streid July 31, 1943. She was a homemaker and retired beautician.
Survivors include four children, Harold Streid Jr. and wife Shu-Ling of Ladue, James Streid and wife Barbara of Fair Play, Janice Fitzgibbons and husband John of Oak Lawn, Ill., and Leota Sprague and husband Donald of Geneva, Ill.; three sisters, Lydia Maddox of Springfield, Ill., Flora Paul of Wooddale, Ill., and Marion Berndt of Green Lake, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Streid, July 22, 1993; her parents, Gustav and Anna Moeller; two brothers, Edgar Moeller and Wilbur Moeller; and a sister, Helen Streid.
Services were Monday, Oct. 10, in Murray Funeral Home with Chaplain Virgil Kearney officiating. Burial was in Lindley Prairie Cemetery, west of Fair Play.
Pallbearers were Jason Sprague, Michael Sprague, Jeffrey Fitzgibbons, David Streid, Daniel Robinson and Tony Schwartz.
