Benjamin Deckard
Service: 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs. Burial: El Dorado Springs City Cemetery. Mr. Deckard, 38, El Dorado Springs, died Friday. He was born in El Dorado Springs to Sheri Proctor and Jr. Deckard. He grew up in El Dorado Springs and attended El Dorado Springs RII School. During high school, he worked at Pogo’s Pizza, making life-long friends. After high school, he went on to Arkansas and worked for Tyson for a number of years.
Survivors include his parents, Terry and Sheri Proctor and Jr. and Sue Deckard, all of El Dorado Springs; two sisters, Ashley Daniels and husband Billy Jr. and Jessica Deckard, all of El Dorado Springs; a brother, Joshua Deckard and wife Brandi of Alpena, Ark.; his girlfriend, Jennifer Swaggerty and two children Mary Leona and Justin Davis, all of Stockton; his grandmother, Irene Frost of Alton; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcia and Leo Johnson and Bill Deckard.
A memorial service was at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment followed in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.blandhackleman.com.
