On March 3-5, 2024, four El Dorado Springs High School DECA members competed at the State Career Development Conference at Crown Center in Kansas City, MO. Members of Missouri DECA gathered over those three days to network, compete, and gain leadership insights from keynote speakers, advisors, and the Missouri State Action Team. Students from El Dorado Springs that competed were juniors Kandon McGuirk and Noah Steward in Financial Literacy Project and seniors Allie Ashlock and Nathan Saderstrom in Community Giving Project. more

On January 22, around 12:52 PM, Deputy Daniels and Deputy Yokley from the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office were sent to a structure fire. Deputy Daniels reached the scene first at approximately 1:00 p.m. When he arrived, he found the attic of the house was on fire. The attic was just above the families’ wood-burning stove. more
The Stockton Lady Tigers played host to the weather delayed 14th Annual Stockton Invitational Tournament last week, entering the tournament as a #8 seed as they faced the #1 seed, and #1 ranked Class 3 girls basketball team, the El Dorado Springs Lady Bulldogs. As if facing the Lady Bulldogs wasn’t enough of a challenge, Coach Brett Burchett and his Lady Tigers found themselves without the services of freshman starter Hayleigh Burres, who was injured in a game the previous week. more

With inclement weather closing school last Tuesday, the Lady Tigers had to postpone their contest with Marionville by a day, taking on the state ranked Lady Comets on a Wednesday evening at Stockton High School. Marionville entered the game as the 8th ranked Class 2 team in Missouri, adding incentive for a possible upset by the Lady Tigers. more
