Services: None planned under the direction of Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton.

Violet Nadine Adams was born in Chelsea, Oklahoma, Sept. 23, 1927, and received Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Heavens gates. Her 90 years spanned over time, through residing in Illinois, Colorado, Oklahoma, California and settling in Missouri for the past 20 plus years.

A celebration of her life was shared throughout the remaining week of Jan. 29, by singing hymns from the past, humorous camp songs and sharing fond memories from Lake Stockton Heathcare Facility with staff and nurses. Pastor of First Southern Baptist Church shared in scripture and prayer. Stories were shared of how she impacted their lives. She gave of herself through her love of cooking, sewing, waitressing and helping others. She was strong, sharp, an avid speller, runner-up and winner of nursing home spelling bees, a human GPS, courageous, a virtuous woman and polite to the end. This beautiful, caring woman will be missed by all whose lives she has touched. Proverb 31:31.

She is survived by a son, Win (Jan) Kerby of Florida; daughters, Debra Colvin and Connie Stines (John) of Illinois; a son-in law, Art Reser; a sister-in-law, Arlene Kerby of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Stephen, Brian, Sandy, Darren, Eric, Carrie, Kimberly, Monica and Michele; great-, and great-great-grandchildren; many cousins and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Reser; husband, Matt Adams; parents, Finis and Minnie Hemphill; sisters, Mae, Mamie and Ruth; and brothers, Finis, Ernest, Robert, Louie and Versil

We love you, we miss you and we will carry you in our hearts and on our lips-2gether 4ever XO x’s infinity. John 11: 25-26 Psalm 9:10 Psalm 34:8.

Thank you for the care and prayer support to Pastor Jason of First Southern Baptist Church; CMH-LSHF administration and staff, nursing staff, facilities and housekeeping; Hospice of Bolivar; roommate, “Blanchie”; and to Michael (MJ) for helping with this loving tribute to his great-grandma (g-grams).
