Mrs. Mitchell, 52, Merriam Woods Village, was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to John Rhodes and Wanda Jernigan Rhodes. She died Monday, May 2.
She attended Blackwell schools, and later moved to El Dorado Springs to raise a family. She lived there for several years before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, and lived there for a number of years before moving back to Missouri where she lived until her death with her husband Donald Mitchell.
She was a devout Christian, and attended the Tabernacle of Messianic Congregation in Branson.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Donald, of the home; two daughters, Nicole Tunder of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Janell Walker of Springdale, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Harlee, Madison and Landyn of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mikayla, Austin, Carly, and Garrett of Springdale, Arkansas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Wanda (Jernigan) Rhodes; a son, Eric Tunder; a brother, Bobby Rhodes; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
