Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, Brumback Funeral Home. Service: 2 p.m Thursday, funeral home. Mrs. Connelly, 86, Stockton, died at her home of natural causes Thursday. She was born in Urbana, the oldest daughter of Orval and Edith Rash.
Helen was active in the Optimist Club of Stockton, American Cancer Society, Friends of the Cedar County Library, Stockton Theatre and Boy Scouts. She was passionate about quilting, donating many quilts for multiple charities.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Womack and husband Steve of Concordia, Kan., Barbara St. John of Kansas City, Vickie Lewis and husband Gary of Independence and Kathy Smith and husband Ike of Plattsburg; two stepsons, Mike Connelly and wife Bonnie of Grandview and Richard Connelly of Kansas City; three stepdaughters, Janice Egersett of Grandview, Connie Circo and husband Tom of Belton and Patty Connelly of Kansas City; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Leroy Connelly; a son, Emil Ray Lynch; and parents, Orval and Edith Rash.
Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Brumback Funeral Home. Services are at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Optimist Club of Stockton. The memorial fund has been established at Liberty Bank in Stockton.
