EDDIE DEAN SUMMERS

June 17, 1956-April 17, 2015

Graveside: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, Rice Cemetery, Dadeville.

Eddie Dean Summers, 58, Mt. Vernon, died Friday, April 17, in his home of natural causes. He was the seventh child born to Betty Jo Summers in Lockwood.

He grew up in Greenfield with his siblings enjoying the outdoors. He briefly worked for the railroad. His last employment was with the TA Truck Stop in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, before retiring due to his failing health. He settled in Mt. Vernon at Suzanne’s Apartment complex where he made several close friends and kept busy with odd jobs around the complex. He enjoyed fishing and hunting morel mushrooms in the spring. Eddie married Tina Wilkinson in 1976. They had three children Jason, Todd and Trisha. They divorced after several years.

Eddie always was glad to see his children, and especially happy to see Trisha and her girls as often as he could. He was very easy going and had a big heart. We will never forget his big smile and his laugh. Eddie’s family will miss him dearly.

Survivors include three children, Jason of Harrison, Arkansas, Todd of Casper, Wyoming and Trisha Summers of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren; three brothers, Clayton Snow of El Dorado Springs, Roger Snow of Miller, Missouri and Danny Snow of Willard, Missouri; and two sisters, Linda Bough and Pam Chism, both of Stockton, Missouri.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Betty Jo Summers; two brothers, Cletis Snow and Larry Snow; and a sister, Debbie Snow.  

Arrangements are under the direciton of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
