Mrs. Cartwright, 88, El Dorado Springs, died Sunday, Dec. 10. She was born in El Dorado Springs, the eldest of four children of Gilbert and May Blackmore.
She married Joe Cartwright Feb. 22, 1947, and 10 children were born of the union.
The early years of marriage were spent in California, then they moved back to the Lebeck area for the remainder of their marriage.
Survivors include her six children, David Cartwright, Eunice Allen, Jessica Hemperley, Gilbert Cartwright, Gary Cartwright and Marybeth Cartwright; three siblings, Thelma Smith, Evelyn Ford and Becky Oehring; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joe Cartwright, in 2006; two daughters, Christine Grubb and Josephine Schelman; two baby boys in infancy; and three grandchildren.
