CHARLES DUSTIN ‘PORK’ PRICE

Posted

Aug. 4, 1981-Jan. 23, 2018

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, Church on the Hill. Burial: Stockton Cemetery.

Charles Dustin Price, 36,or as everyone knew him as "Pork,” passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 23, in Springfield. His friends and family were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born on Aug. 4, 1981, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Donna Broyles and Charlie Price.

Pork went to school and grew up in the Stockton area. He graduated welding school and then traveled several years doing what he loved. When he wasn't welding, he was doing his second passion of working on sail boats. Pork truly loved the people in his life and enjoyed life through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, spending time with his son, watching movies or one of his favorite things to do, to just sit and listen to his music (as loud as it would go). Pork had a special ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. If you met him once, you wouldn't forget him or the things he said, or how he made you feel. He would always be willing to help in every way he could, and always gave you a pep talk and then his opinion. Pork had an ornery side, too, but those who knew and loved him knew what he said or did, he did it with heart. Pork may have lived a short life, but he left a lot of great memories with those around him. He was very loved, and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by several grandparents; and step-brother, Scott Broyles.

Pork is survived by his parents, Donna and Rick Broyles of Stockton; his father, Charlie Price of Oklahoma; his son and pride and joy, Darren; two brothers, Bryan Price of Oklahoma, and Brandon Price and fiancé Tia Schultz of Stockton; grandmother, Mary Ann Williams; his forever best friend, Amber Green; his nieces and nephew, several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
