Mrs. Saathoff, 76, Stockton, died Sunday, Dec. 24. She was born in a doctor’s office in Liberal to John Robert and Melba Fay (Stout) Coiner.

She attended Triumph Country Grade School for grades 1-6, then Liberal School for grades 7-12.

She married Albert H. Saathoff in Kansas City June 1, 1958, and lived in Independence for 21 years. They moved to Stockton in June 1979.

The couple fostered 14 children. She was a member of Stockton Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Saathoff; two children, Cindi and husband Roger of Bolivar and Michael Saathoff and wife Dianna of Stockton; six grandchildren, Joshua Garrison, Mekenzie York, Lacey York, Hayden Saathoff, Bryson Saathoff and Elijah Saathoff; two brothers-in-law, Darel Green and Dr. Gilbert Sanders; 12 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Melba Coiner; siblings Wayne Coiner and wife Aliene, Susan Sanders and Illene Green; nephews, Adam and Brandon Green; and a great-niece, Casey Coiner.
