Stockton students recently competed at the State Solo/Small Ensemble Festival held in Columbia. Those competing brought back gold and silver ratings. In order to move to the state competition, students had to receive an Exemplary rating at the district contest.

April 2024 Student of the Month

The presentation of the “student of the month” award goes to one girl and one boy of Stockton high school. This award will be given each month during the 2023-2024 school year, and it is to recognize the Stockton high school students who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements in extra-curricular activities, academics, leadership, good citizenship, service to their school, and service to the community.

Tigers Win Southwest Conference Championship; Districts Await

It was senior day last Monday as the Tigers extended their win streak to three games by defeating Pleasant Hope while also securing the Southwest Conference crown. Last week, the Stockton Tigers closed out the regular season, including a victory over Peasant Hope, which gave the Tigers the Southwest Conference crown after the Tigers went undefeated in conference play. The Tigers finished the regular season with a 20-9 record, including a four game winning streak, as they enter district play.

Weather Affects Tigers’ Baseball Schedule

With last week’s storms, the Stockton Tigers had a quiet week, taking a victory last Tuesday against the Miller Cardinals in Southwest Conference play in their only action of the week.

Golf Continues To Excel; Win Final Home Meet

Last Wednesday, the Stockton Tiger golf team hosted their final home golf meet as Adrian and Butler came to the Stockton Country Club. Led by Head Coach Andrew Boone and Assistant Coach Doug Haines, the Tigers continued to play excellent golf, taking first place in the match. Team scores were: Stockton, 178, Butler, 191, and Adrian 214. The Tigers were led by Owen Garver who shot a 43 as teammates Canaan Rutledge, Parker Phelan, and Layton Colvin all scored a 45. Gilberto Alexander shot a 48 on the 9 hole course.

Stockton's Special Nurse Account needs help to supply students

As the school year draws to a close, the supplies in Stockton School's exceptional naruse's account are running low. The account provides schoolchildren with various need-based items. As the end of the school year nears, supplies have started to dwindle, and donations are being accepted.

A private citizen and MoMan partner present views on variance request

Charles Curless, a partner with MoMan Products, and Cheryl Cully, a representative of the Cully family trust and owner of Creative Notions on East Street, addressed the Stockton board Monday night concerning the expansion of MoMan Products for a new building to be built up to the property line of the Cully property. MoMan produces marijuana products that are distributed to businesses.
At last year’s Community Baby Shower, Swag Bathtubs were given out to 60 registered moms.

ElDO Parents as Teachers and the Children's Trust Fund of Missouri will host their third annual community baby shower this Friday, April 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the El Dorado Springs R-2 Elementary Cafeteria. This year's theme is the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Jailhouse Rock Ministries Inc. (JHR) is moving to 107 West Highway 39, Suite G, in Stockton. To celebrate this ministry's legacy and its future, an open house will be held on May 4 from 10 to 12 p.m. This event is not only a celebration of our new location but also an opportunity for the community to learn more about our work and how they can get involved.
